Terms and Conditions for Logistics and Moving Services
These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern the provision of logistics and moving services ("Services") by AHHAD Ltd Logistics and Movers ("Company", "We", "Our", "Us") to the client ("Client", "You", "Your"). By accepting a quotation, placing an order, or utilizing the Company’s Services, the Client agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
1. Quotation and Pricing
Estimates: The Company provides quotations based on the information provided by the Client. All quotations are estimates and subject to change based on actual service requirements, unforeseen circumstances, or additional services requested.
Exclusions: The standard quotation excludes charges for estate packaging, assembly/disassembly of furniture, special handling, hazardous materials, and other services unless explicitly stated and agreed upon in writing.
2. Scope of Services
The Company offers the following services:
Logistics and Courier Services: We provide logistics and courier services within the UK and across Europe, including the delivery and transportation of parcels, packages, and documents.
Moving Services: The Company offers moving services for both residential and business clients. This includes the transportation of household goods, office equipment, and commercial goods.
Packaging and Unpacking: We provide professional packaging and unpacking services for all types of goods. This includes packing for transportation, unpacking upon delivery, and appropriate handling of fragile or high-value items.
Exclusions:
Assembly/Disassembly: The assembly or disassembly of furniture is not included in the standard services. If required, this will incur additional charges.
Estate Packaging: The packaging of goods, including items such as furniture and personal belongings, is not included unless specified. Additional charges will apply.
Hazardous Materials: The Company does not transport hazardous or dangerous goods unless explicitly agreed upon in writing.
3. Labor and Packaging Charges
Labor Costs: Charges for labor will apply for services beyond the standard scope, including handling oversized, high-value, or delicate goods, as well as any special packaging or handling requirements.
Packaging: The Client will incur additional charges for necessary packaging materials (e.g., boxes, bubble wrap, and protective padding) and associated labor costs. These will be detailed in the quotation or billed separately.
Oversized, Fragile, and High-Value Items: Special handling fees will apply to oversized, fragile, or high-value items, requiring additional care, protective materials, or equipment during transit. The Client must inform the Company of such items in advance to receive an accurate quotation.
4. Storage Services
The Company may offer storage services at an additional cost, based on space requirements and the duration of storage.
Long-Term Storage: For long-term storage needs, separate terms and conditions will apply. The Client must request and agree to these terms in writing.
5. Reattempted Delivery
If the delivery attempt fails due to reasons beyond the Company’s control, including but not limited to an incorrect address or the recipient’s unavailability, the Company reserves the right to charge for a reattempted delivery.
Additional charges for subsequent delivery attempts will apply, and the Client will be notified in advance.
6. Customs Duties and Taxes for International Shipments
Customs Fees: For international shipments, the Client is responsible for any applicable customs duties, taxes, or import/export fees.
Documentation Assistance: The Company will provide necessary documentation and assist with the customs clearance process; however, payment of customs fees is the Client’s responsibility.
Delays: The Company is not liable for delays caused by customs clearance or border control processes and will not consider such delays as a breach of this Agreement.
7. Client Responsibilities
Preparation of Goods: The Client is responsible for ensuring all goods are adequately packed and prepared for transportation prior to the scheduled pickup time. Proper labeling, boxing, and protection of fragile items are the Client’s responsibility.
Access to Locations: The Client must ensure that there is unobstructed access to the pickup and delivery locations to facilitate smooth and efficient handling of the goods.
Compliance with Laws: The Client must ensure that all items to be transported comply with applicable laws and regulations and are not prohibited for shipment.
8. Exclusions
Improper Packing: The Company will not be responsible for damage to goods that were improperly packed or require special handling unless previously agreed upon in writing.
Special Handling Items: The Company is not liable for any damage to fragile, oversized, or high-value items unless specific arrangements for special handling were made and charges were paid in advance.
9. Payment Terms
Due Payment: Payment for services is due as per the terms outlined in the quotation or upon completion of the service, as specified by the Company.
Additional Charges: Any additional services such as packaging, labor, handling of fragile or oversized items, storage, reattempted deliveries, or customs duties will be invoiced separately.
Late Payment: Payments not received by the due date will be subject to late fees and may result in suspension of services until payment is made in full.
10. Liability
The Company will take reasonable care to ensure the safe transportation of goods. However, the Company’s liability for any loss, damage, or theft of goods is limited to the declared value of the goods or as per the Company’s liability policy, whichever is less.
The Company will not be held liable for damage to goods resulting from improper packing, inadequate preparation, or failure by the Client to disclose the need for special handling.
11. Right to Change Terms
The Company reserves the right to amend, update, or change these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. The Client will be notified of such changes, and continued use of the Company’s services will constitute acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Notice Requirement: The Client may cancel or reschedule the service by notifying the Company at least 24 hours before the scheduled pickup or delivery. Failure to provide 24 hours’ notice may result in a cancellation fee.
Company Right to Reschedule: The Company reserves the right to cancel or reschedule services in cases of force majeure or unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to severe weather, mechanical failure, or other situations beyond the Company’s control.
13. Force Majeure
The Company will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform services due to events beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, acts of terrorism, or other circumstances outside of its reasonable control.
14. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from this Agreement will be resolved in accordance with the laws of [Your Country/State], and the parties agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of [Your Country/State] for mediation or arbitration.
15. Damage to Goods and Claims
Notification: The Client must notify the Company within 24 hours of delivery of any damage to goods or discrepancies in the shipment.
Evidence: The Client must provide photographic evidence and a detailed description of the damaged goods within the same 24-hour period.
Claims Process: Claims for damage will only be processed if the Company is notified within the stipulated time frame and the required evidence is provided. Failure to notify the Company within 24 hours may result in the denial of the claim.
16. Prohibited and Restricted Items
The Company will not transport the following items:
Illegal Substances: Any items deemed illegal under applicable local, state, or international laws.
Explosives: Any explosive materials, devices, or components.
Hazardous Materials: Including, but not limited to, chemicals, toxic substances, or other materials posing a risk to health, safety, or the environment.
Perishable Goods: Perishable items, such as food and beverages, unless pre-approved by the Company.
Valuables: Cash, jewelry, precious metals, and other high-value items.
Flammable or Toxic Materials: Any materials that are flammable, toxic, or otherwise hazardous to human health or the environment.
Radioactive Materials: Any materials that are radioactive or otherwise pose a risk to public safety.
The Client is responsible for ensuring that none of the above items are included in the shipment. If prohibited items are discovered during transit, the Company reserves the right to refuse transportation and dispose of the items without liability. The Client will bear full responsibility for any legal consequences resulting from the shipment of prohibited items.
Acceptance of Terms
By accepting the Company’s quotation, placing an order, or utilizing its services, the Client acknowledges and agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
